August 2026 quarterly newsletter and 2025-26 scheme insights report out now

The August 2026 MAIC quarterly newsletter and Annual 2025-26 scheme insights report are now available. Catch up on the latest developments and initiatives we’re undertaking to improve road safety and advance the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance scheme in Queensland.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll find in this edition:

This edition highlights MAIC’s recently refreshed website, designed to make it easier for Queenslanders to access information about CTP insurance, understand the claims processes, and find support following a motor vehicle accident. With improved navigation, streamlined content and new resources, the website helps users quickly find the information they need.

We recap MAIC’s Queensland Road Safety Week event, recognising the collective efforts of organisations, researchers and community partners working to improve road safety outcomes across Queensland.

You’ll also find insights from the 2026 MAIC claimant survey, which gathered feedback from claimants to better understand their experiences with Queensland’s CTP claims process. The research helps identify opportunities to strengthen the claimant experience and improve scheme outcomes.

The newsletter also features MAIC and the Nominal Defendant’s new Strategic Plan 2026-29, outlining our priorities and direction for the next three years as we continue working towards a sustainable CTP scheme and better outcomes for Queensland motorists and people affected by road trauma.

Another key highlight is MAIC’s new three-year funding agreement with Gold Coast University Hospital, supporting dedicated Trauma and Rehabilitation Research Coordinator roles that will help clinicians undertake research aimed at improving outcomes for people with serious injuries.
