February 2026 quarterly newsletter and scheme insights report out now

The Motor Accident Insurance Commission’s (MAIC) February 2026 quarterly newsletter and quarterly CTP scheme insights: Oct-Dec 2025 report is now available. Catch up on the latest developments and initiatives we’re undertaking to improve road safety and advance the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance scheme in Queensland.

This quarter’s highlights include the Queensland Road Safety Research Collaboration event which took place late last year, hosted by MAIC. This showcase brought together university partners to highlight the diverse research efforts of the collaboration advancing road safety research to reduce road trauma and claims in Queensland’s CTP scheme.

Another important partnership highlighted is MAIC’s December collaboration with the Queensland Police Service (QPS), which launched a community awareness initiative to highlight the devastating consequences of seasonal drink driving and promote safer driving.

We proudly announce the launch of a new Claims Management standard and accompanying information sheet designed to support unrepresented and vulnerable claimants navigating the claimant journey. We are also pleased to advise the availability of MAIC archival content on the Queensland Government Publications portal, reflecting our commitment to transparency and access to information.

To learn more about these projects and keep up to date with what we’re working on, you can subscribe to our newsletter, check out the scheme insights reports and quarterly newsletters online, or follow MAIC on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we work to improve Queensland’s CTP scheme and road safety outcomes.
