CTP Premium Calculator

The CTP Premium Calculator has been developed by the Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) to provide Queensland motor vehicle owners with easier access to CTP premium information. When choosing your insurer, price may be only one of the factors you consider. Insurers may offer some add-on products or incentives with CTP insurance. You will need to contact the individual insurers to obtain information on their respective CTP product. Although regulated by MAIC, Queensland’s CTP scheme is underwritten by the private insurance sector. While every effort is taken to ensure accuracy of the premium rates, you should confirm the price with the insurer.

When you have answered the CTP Premium Calculator questions, click on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the page. A new page will open with a list of premium rates from all the licensed CTP insurers in Queensland, based on answers you have provided.

If you want to clear the form and start another search, click on the ‘clear form‘ button (next to the ‘Submit’ button).

If you want to find out more information about a specific CTP insurer, click on the link to that insurer on the results page to directly go to their website.

3. Is your premium subject to an Input Tax Credit Entitlement (ITCE)?

Note: Premiums for vehicles used exclusively for private use are not subject to an ITCE. In most cases, your premium will only be subject to an ITCE if you complete a Business Activity Statement for GST purposes, which includes the business use of this vehicle. Click here for more information

4. What period do you want to cover?
