Don’t tailgate

Leave a 2-second gap while driving.

Following the vehicle in front of you too closely gives you less time to react to changes and avoid a collision. Tailgating causes many unnecessary rear-end crashes in Queensland. Avoid a crash by leaving a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. An easy way to do this is to count ‘one barramundi, two barramundi’ which equates to about 2 seconds.
