After the success of the 2021 Bionics Queensland Challenge, proudly supported by the Motor Accident Insurance Commission, funding has recently been approved to support the Challenge again in 2022.
The 2022 Challenge is based on the theme of ‘Bionic Innovations – responding to trauma, injury, disability and disease’ and aims to bring together researchers from a variety of fields (neuroscience, robotics, bio-fabrication, artificial intelligence), consumers and clinicians to deliver bionic solutions that meet end user needs.
These solutions have the potential to stimulate improvements in health care and quality of life for those living with lifelong disabilities, including some of the more severe injuries that occur from road trauma such as amputations, spinal cord and brain injuries.
