National Road Safety Week 2019 kicks off from 6 May – 12 May.
This annual event highlights the ongoing impact of road trauma and encourages drivers to consider the consequences of their driving behaviour.
It coincides with the United Nations Global Road Safety Week 2019, which rounds out their Decade of Action on Road Safety 2011-2020.
Each year, around 1200 people are killed and another 35,000 are seriously injured in crashes on Australian roads.
National Road Safety Week honours those we have lost and pledges to make the roads safer for everyone.
